Our Organizational Structure

Membership C

Free, accessible drop-ins serving high-risk communities with a focus on harm reduction, digital safe spaces, and cyber security. Facilitated by a paid team with specific expertise.

Our flat organizational structure is a direct product of the community responses, including indigenous wisdom. We maintain equity by assuring that the flow of knowledge production directing operations has no inherent power dynamics. While acknowledging or human fallibility, we believe in accountability radically.

Membership C

Marginalized Majority's Membership C is a  program within the nonprofit dedicated to providing crucial support to high-risk communities, particularly focusing on the global south, immigrants, and other marginalized LGBTQIA+ intersectional identities. Membership C operates as a series of free, accessible drop-ins that serve as safe havens for individuals facing various challenges. The program places a strong emphasis on harm reduction, digital safe spaces, and cybersecurity to address the unique needs of its diverse membership.

The backbone of Marginalized Majority's approach lies in free and accessible intersectional knowledge-sharing sessions, drop-ins, and events operated by dedicated volunteers. These initiatives extend beyond the specific high-risk communities targeted by Membership C, serving the general community at large. The inclusive nature of these activities reflects the organization's commitment to fostering understanding, empathy, and solidarity among individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Crucially, the community responses generated by these initiatives play a pivotal role in shaping Marginalized Majority's business model. By actively engaging with the needs and concerns of its members, the nonprofit ensures that its strategies are responsive and adaptive to the ever-evolving challenges faced by marginalized communities. Donations received by Marginalized Majority are channeled back into the organization to maintain the operations of these vital spaces. Importantly, the nonprofit adheres to an internal, equitable honorarium system, ensuring that those contributing to the organization's mission are recognized and compensated fairly for their efforts. This approach reflects Marginalized Majority's commitment to creating a sustainable and just model for supporting and uplifting communities that often face systemic barriers to their well-being.
